ADDITIONAL AUDITION INFORMATION. . . . .PLEASE READ

All auditioners must come to the audition prepared to sing a one-minute song.  We provide a tape and C. D. player for those who need it.  We DO NOT provide a PIANO accompanist. We understand that many of the children who will be auditioning have never auditioned before.  If this is the case, it’s alright if you sing acapella, (meaning no ‘background music’).  We want EVERYONE to feel as comfortable as possible.  A parent MUST accompany ALL auditioners under the age of 18 years.  You also need to bring a calendar of ALL the conflicts you will have between June 9th and September 14th 2008.  NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO MISS ANY PERFORMANCE.  You may download the AUDITION FORM  by clicking the underlined words.  It will save you time when you get to the auditions. DO NOT download any other forms from the FORMS page.

FEES and PARENT PARTICIPATION. . .

If your child is cast in the show there is a $85.00 participation fee that needs to be taken care of at the first meeting.  Anyone who is 18 years of age will not be required to pay the cast fee.   We will be casting children between the ages of 7 and 18 years.   EVERYONE CAST IN THE PRODUCTION(S) is required to sell 10 DISCOUNT tickets to the show.  KEEP IN MIND:  If you have 3 family members auditioning, (and they ALL get in the production), you will need to sell 30 tickets.  Now don’t panic. . .If past productions have taught us anything, this show is going to be a VERY easy to sell to family and friends.  We are one of the only youth companies that DO NOT require parent volunteers.  We are staffed from in house and parents are not required to do anything except show up and enjoy themselves on opening night!

What do I provide and what do I get by participating?

We provide ALL THE COSTUME pieces with the exception of shoes, undergarments and stockings.  We also provide a FREE souvenir cast photo.  There are no other hidden fees or requirements.  Parents are not required to volunteer — We take care of everything.  The parent needs only to show up on opening night and enjoy the show!

OTHER STUFF. . .

WE DO NOT TAKE APPOINTMENTS — Just show up and audition between 4 and 8p.m.  A complete DAY TO DAY rehearsal schedule will be posted at the auditions.

When you audition for a BROADWAY THEATER or OFF-BROADWAY THEATER production you will need to bring the following items to the auditions

(1)  If you are under the age of 18 you need to bring an adult.

(2)  A current photo.  Photos will not be returned so don’t send something you cherish.

(3)  A calendar that lists all of your conflicts from the audition day to the close of the show

(4)  If you are auditioning for a musical you need to bring a one-minute vocal selection. You may sing to a C.D. or tape — We provide the machine to play them on.  If you are an ADULT auditioning for a straight play we require one minute monologues.  The type of monologue we require will be listed below with the audition information. The most common question we receive is. . “Do you know what the day and times of the rehearsals will be?”  In MOST cases, we won’t know any rehearsal information until the day of the auditions. So, bring your calendar to the auditions so you can check your conflicts to the audition dates.
