In 2004, THE BROADWAY THEATER burst onto the scene in San Diego, California. THE BROADWAY was a theater that dared to be different. A theater that actually staged shows for the ‘theater going public’. You won’t find anything experimental at THE BROADWAY. In just seven short years this intimate, 49 seat space, has been honored twice by KGTV Channel 10 as the ‘BEST THEATER IN SAN DIEGO’ 2007 and 2008, and second place in 2010. But we never take ourselves to seriously, (as you’ll see on the pages of this site). We foster a fun, supportive atmosphere. Why? Because actors do their best work when they are allowed to create in a stress free environment. All of you actors reading this know what I’m talking about. A positive working environment is the reason we believe our shows are just a little bit better than most theaters our size. Anyway, with the adult theater thriving, we grew a little antsy and did something crazy...

We decided to expand!

Enter theater number #2...The OFF BROADWAY THEATER. We opened our doors in 2007 and it is the only theater in Southern California built for the express purpose of staging youth productions - No adult shows here! The OFF BROADWAY has something going on 48 weeks a year. No other youth theater on the west coast has more youth productions running under one roof than we do. So, with two theater’s running year round you would think that would be enough…

But it’s not!

In 2012 we will be producing a mini-season of three shows at the LAWRENCE WELK RESORT THEATER in Escondido, California! The beautiful Lawrence Welk Resort is a destination vacation for thousands of people around the world and we are thrilled to be a part of the theater’s season.
